Channelled Impulse Artists

The first day of Channelled Impulse has begun! For the next two weeks, two artists have arrived in the studio to create and workshop brand new works. This is the first initiative for the region in partnership with DANCE.HERE.NOW.


Our wonderful choreographers are:


Fiona Jopp

ree

QLD local Fiona Jopp is predominantly a contemporary dancer and choreographer. She has danced for many choreographers during her years with Sydney Dance Company as well as Michael Clark Company in the UK and Emanuel Gat Dance in France.



Sophie Evenden-Murchie


ree

Sophie Evenden-Murchie is a Sunshine Coast-based dance artist, teacher, choreographer and director. She’s the founder of Justice Dance Project 2012 and the director of Justice Dance Theatre 2015. Sophie also had a dance school on the Sunshine Coast for 5 years before moving to Shenzhen, China to take up a teaching contract in classical ballet and contemporary dance. Her dance company has toured and performed original works in Cambodia, India, Myanmar, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Melbourne, Brisbane, Uluru and the Sunshine Coast. Sophie has just completed the Creative Entrepreneur Internship with Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre.
