We Strive To Keep Everything Out of Landfills

LJ Projects was formed in Rockford, IL, in 2006. It was observed that many reusable objects were just dumped into the local landfill. That is when we set a plan in place to achieve our goal. At the beginning LJ Projects started out by picking up any scrap metal found in people’s garbage since this seemed to be a large portion of what was being thrown away that had the greatest value. We would drive day and night looking for things that had been set out to the curb for disposal. This went on regularly for two years straight and still today continues on a periodic basis.

LJ Projects is so adamant about keeping as much stuff out of landfills as possible that we began offering our services for FREE. That’s right! As part of the continual process of obtaining our goal, LJ Projects took the next step of picking up, as well as removing, unwanted scrap metal for FREE. It is a win-win arrangement for our customers / clients and us. We make it a point to offer FREE services so that our customers / clients call us before ordering a dumpster from a disposal service, ensuring a savings can be factored in their clean-out costs.
